This is one of our favorite times of the year. All 16 of our 2007 crias are now safely on the ground. 10 beautiful girls and 6 handsome boys Dads will be our herdsires Presidio, Barnabus, Rayo's Roso e Grigio (rose grey), Brutus' Firecracker (Accoyo Brutus) plus crias from these top guys from across the nation: HPA Don Quixote (Accoyos Timoteo/Don Juan), Victor's Vaccoyo, Snowmass Arctic Wind (Accoyos Augusto/Legacy) and Strider of the Shire (true black).   Xanadu P. She’s our 5th Barnabus girl this year (5 of 5) and the full sister to Cloissone and Incandescent. She promises to be another champion. This matchup is one of our very best.   Xanadu P. Gilt Edge) and 5 color champion Presidio kids (Trousseau, Traviata Travesura, Trovatore and Triomphe) our Bueno mom, Penelope delivered this  simply divine Barnabus girl for us this fall.  She’s adorable and will no doubt join her siblings in the winner’s circle.     Snowmass P True North One   Click on the thumbnails  to see a larger view. Seraphina (Snowmass Snowmaster) When we purchased Seraphina, pregnant, at the Snowmass Auction last spring we were hoping for a boy to help diversify bloodlines. Au Courant, Color Champ at the ’07 GWAS show and blue ribbon winner, Xanadu P. Concerto.  This little girl is amazingly dense and soft, soft.   Xanadu P. La Boheme         (Legacy/Victor pedigree) This is our first Firecracker baby and we’re delighted with this handsome light fawn boy. Mom is an Accoyo Legacy daughter and Accoyo Victor granddaughter & R. Champion at both AOBA and the Futurity. His  fleece is so bright it shines.   Xanadu P. Coloratura (Accoyo Legacy Girl) She's our last cria of the spring and a lovely little girl. She carries density and coverage from both parents and, of course, fineness from granddad Legacy. His full brother, Xanadu P. Tiwanaku, was a multiple blue ribbon winner for us combining that very fine Hemingway fleece with Presidio's density, fleece character and robust physique. Sire:  Rayo's Roso e Grigio Dam:  Daisy May Legacy Brew Our first cria from our 5-time rose grey herdsire is a stunning rose grey girl. Mom is our maroon, foundation mom, Daisy. who has given us a champion every year & "Chiara" will be no exception. Sire:  Rayo's Roso e Grigio Dam: ACR Legger’s Roo Girl We're thrilled with this maroon Roso son. This rich, red is our favorite color and very rare in the alpaca world. Sire: Strider Dam: Pagatonia's Magenta Our first black female cria - ever.  Magenta is a Patagonia Kaspar daughter we purchased from Patagonia at the 2005 Futurity auction. It seems like it's been a long wait for her to grow up, be bred to a wonderful, true black herdsire and now deliver an outstanding little girl. But it was well worth the wait.   Xanadu P. Sire: HPA Don Quixote Dam: Pikes Peak Alaina [Presidio daughter] This luminous,full Peruvian daughter of HPA Don Quixote brings elite Hemingway-Accoyo genetics into our herd, including Accoyo's Don Juan and Timoteo. Mom, Alaina is a multiple champion Presidio girl.  Cantata already has a Barnabus breeding in her future when she retires from the show ring. We plan ahead!
